1) A man had Rs 4000. He saved Rs 400. What percentage did save, and what percentage was used?

5) 20 % of what number is 3500?

GEOMETRY CONSTRUCTIONS

1) Construct triangle ABC, AB= 7cm, AC = 6 cm , BC = 8cm

2 )Construct triangle PQR, PQ=QR=PR = 7 cm, construct its circumcircle and measure its radius.

3) Construct triangle ABC, BC = 7 cm, AB = 8cm, angle ABC = 70 0, construct its incircle and measure its radius.

4) Draw AB = 7cm, mark a point O such that AO = 7cm and OB = 8cm. From O construct a line perpendicular to AB.

5) Draw BC = 8 cm, mark a point X such that BX = 5 cm. At X construct a perpendicular line.

SIMPLE INTEREST
1) A sum of Rs 5000, is deposited for 9 months @ 5% p.a. calculate the interest and amount.
2) A sum of Rs 4500 is invested for 18 months @ a certain rate of simple interest p.a. Calculate the rate if the simple interest is Rs 40
3) In what time will Rs 3500 yield Rs 50 as simple interest @ 2 ½ % p.a
4) A certain sum yields Rs 200 as simple interest in 5 years @ 10 % p.a. find the principal.
5) Rs 3500 amounts to Rs 4000 in 6 months . Find the rate of interest . How much will Rs 5000 amount to in 4 years at the same rate of interest?
